Our story
Built Different. From the Ground Up.
Dirty Dawg Adventure Vehicles is a bespoke adventure vehicle fabrication workshop based in the Clwydian Valley, Llanynys, Denbighshire — deep in the heart of North Wales.
Who we are
Where We Come From
We're not a conversion company that bolts accessories onto a standard vehicle and calls it done. Everything we build starts with a blank canvas — or more accurately, a stripped-back chassis. We remove what doesn't serve the mission and fabricate everything else from scratch.
Based in the beautiful village of Llanynys in the Clwydian Valley, we're surrounded by the kind of terrain our vehicles are built for. Mountains, moorland, river crossings, and remote tracks — it's all on our doorstep, and it informs every decision we make in the workshop.
Every build is a one-off. We don't do packages, we don't do off-the-shelf. We sit down with you, understand exactly how you travel and where you go, and then we build something that fits your life — not someone else's.

Where we are
Llanynys, Denbighshire
Our workshop sits in the Clwydian Valley in North Wales — one of the most spectacular stretches of countryside in the UK. The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is right on our doorstep. It's not just a backdrop — it's our proving ground.
What drives us
How We Work
No Compromises
Every component is chosen for a reason. If it doesn't earn its place, it doesn't go in.
Built to Last
Aluminium frames, composite panels, quality hardware. Built to take a beating and keep going.
Completely Bespoke
No two builds are the same. Your vehicle is designed around you — your routes, your kit, your way of doing things.
Tested on Real Terrain
We're surrounded by mountains and moorland. Every build gets proven on the kind of ground it was made for.
How it works
The Build Process
From first conversation to handing over the keys — here's how a Dirty Dawg build comes together.
The Conversation
Every build starts with a proper conversation. We want to know where you're going, how long you stay out, who travels with you, and what matters most. No forms, no brochures — just a straight talk about what you actually need.
This is where we figure out whether a rising roof makes sense, how much power you need, whether you want a fixed bed or a convertible layout, and a hundred other decisions that shape the whole build.
Design & Specification
Once we understand your requirements, we put together a full specification. Every system, every dimension, every material choice — laid out clearly so you know exactly what you're getting before a single cut is made.
We'll talk through the power system, the layout, the kitchen spec, the suspension setup, and the finish. Nothing is left vague.
Strip & Prepare
The donor vehicle comes into the workshop and we get to work. Roof off. Rear off. Everything that doesn't serve the build comes out. What's left is the foundation we build on.
We inspect the chassis, address any mechanical issues, and prepare the vehicle properly before fabrication begins. The base has to be right.
Fabrication
This is where the real work happens. Aluminium frame, composite insulated panels, all the mechanical systems — fabricated and fitted by hand in our workshop in Llanynys.
Every weld, every cut, every panel is done in-house. We don't outsource the work that matters. The rising roof mechanism, the hatch, the solar mounting — all built here.
Fit-Out & Finishing
With the structure complete, we move into the interior. Kitchen installation, upholstery, electrical systems, lighting, flooring — everything fitted and finished to the standard you'd expect from a high-end interior.
The leather seating, the LED lighting, the solar and battery system, the Apple CarPlay integration — all wired, tested, and finished properly.
Test & Hand Over
Before you take the keys, we test everything. Every system, every switch, every mechanism — run through properly. Then we walk you through the whole vehicle so you know it inside out.
We want you to drive away confident. That means taking the time to make sure you understand every feature — including the ones that aren't obvious, like the emergency cab hatch.
"Every cut, every weld, every panel — done by hand in our workshop in Llanynys. No shortcuts. No outsourcing the work that matters."
