The Builds

Every vehicle below is a one-off. No two builds are the same — each one was designed around a specific person, a specific terrain, and a specific way of doing things. These are the results.

The most ambitious build to leave the Dirty Dawg workshop — meet the Highlander. A Land Rover Discovery TD5 stripped back to its bones and rebuilt from scratch — roof off, rear off, and a fully bespoke insulated living unit fabricated in its place. Fully usable with the roof closed — the fixed double bed above the cab works in both positions. Hit the switch and the roof rises 20 inches on electric linear actuators, and the transformation is staggering: two concealed windows appear, each with mosquito and blackout blinds, and the interior becomes so tall that a 6ft 4in person can sit bolt upright in bed with plenty of headroom to spare. Tucked beneath the bed is a secret emergency hatch — a direct route through to the driver's seat without ever stepping outside, a safety feature as clever as it is reassuring. A complete kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and double induction hob. A C-shaped leather lounge in black with orange honeycomb stitching that converts to a second double. Full shower and compost toilet. Powered entirely by 910 watts of tiltable solar and 600Ah of lithium — this thing runs for hours without touching a hook-up. Modern orange, black and white design throughout. Lifted, tyred, and ready for anything.
